TAC UK To Showcase 'A Day In The Life Of A School' at BSEC09

Building Automation Leader Offers Unique Demonstration at Building Schools Exhibition & Conference, February 11-12, Manchester

Ashby, United Kingdom - February 9th 2009. TAC UK, a leader in building automation and energy management systems, today announces that it will be showcasing a unique “A Day In The Life Of A School” demonstration at this year’s Building Schools Exhibition & Conference (BSEC09, 11th – 12th February, Manchester Central). TAC UK will be exhibiting at the show and will be presenting its integrated school security, access control and energy management solutions on Stand 221.

Special A Day In The Life of a School ‘lessons’ have been timetabled by TAC throughout BSEC09, where delegates can learn about the new and exciting possibilities available to schools using the latest building automation solutions from TAC UK. The 20-minute, on-stand whiteboard classes will powerfully demonstrate how easy it is to monitor and control vital aspects of a school – from security and access control through to energy efficiency management – using a sophisticated and intuitive building management system.

TAC’s leadership in security and energy efficiency solutions for the education sector has been built on a unique understanding of the needs of the most important people using the school – the children. From the start of the school day, TAC’s innovative building automation solutions are focused on delivering the optimal learning environment: from cost-effective heating tuned to the needs of staff and children, security solutions that can integrate pupil registration with automated alerts and school meal payment options that care for dietary needs, through to lighting management to optimise the learning environment and deliver efficient security, and integration with the school curriculum – enabling children to study their building's green credentials.

In a further show of its commitment to the Government-backed “Every Child Matters’ vision, TAC will also announce the completion of a fresh piece of highly revealing research into security in schools – from the perspective of parents – to follow up last year’s highly-regarded report on the experience of teachers.

“We’re hoping to share with education stakeholders how an effective environment can have a major impact on the fabric of school life, and demonstrate what is possible using these very innovative systems,“ comments Richard Strode, Sales & Marketing Director for TAC UK. “BSEC09 is a great opportunity to show how TAC can provide education authorities with the building management solutions that really empower headteachers and staff to care for and educate their pupils in the best possible environment.”

Now in its fourth year, the Building Schools Exhibition & Conference (BSEC) is established as the key event for all those at the forefront of UK school building initiatives, from policy makers to suppliers.

The event focuses on the construction, maintenance and design of all schools and covers the Government’s school building programmes – Building Schools for the Future, City Academies and the Primary Capital Programme – in addition to traditional PFI projects.
