Barcelona, Spain, June 1st 2021 -- fonYou today announces that its Chief Product and Innovation Officer Pere Cals will be an invited speaker at Frecuencia Mobile’s Mobile Summit Latam, which is being held virtually on June 9th & 10th 2021. Pere will be sharing his expert insight into monetizing P2P messaging traffic and RCS initiatives for mobile operators during his session "Monetizing Mobile with SMS & Instant Messaging" (Wednesday June 9th 2021, 5:00 PM to 5:40 PM EST). Registration for the event is open now at: https://mobilesummitlatam.com
The Mobile Summit Latam virtual conference and expo will focus on new business opportunities in the mobile ecosystem as it enters a post-pandemic and pre-5G digitalization era. The GSMA predicts that operators will invest more than a trillion dollars over the next five years globally to serve both consumer and enterprise customers. Despite unprecedented demand for digital services in the past 12 months, six in ten telcos in the Latin America region are still more than 80 percent reliant on traditional methods. This unique summit will explore the key opportunities and challenges with case studies across vertical sectors including retail, brands, fintech, app tech and banking, and examine how they are leveraging chat and artificial intelligence across multiple messaging channels such as SMS, Rich Communication Services (RCS) and other mobile ecosystems to engage and re-engage their customers, and drive sales, marketing and customer satisfaction.
Pere Cals currently serves as fonYou’s Chief Product and Innovation Officer. He joined fonYou in 2008 as the company's very first employee, bringing 17 years of solid experience from both the media and telecom industries. Prior to fonYou, he co-founded Mobile 4 Media, a digital media company, and worked for renowned companies and institutions such as Accenture, United Nations and IcoMediaLab. Pere holds a master's degree in International Business from the Schulich School of Business (Canada), as well as a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
