CAMBRIDGE, UK – June 18, 2007 – ip.access, the market leader in cellular picocell technologies, today announces that Chief Technology Officer Nick Johnson will deliver a key conference address at CommunicAsia 2007, the International Communications and Information Technology Exhibition & Conference (19th – 22nd June, Singapore Expo).
The presentation, entitled “Approaches to the Implementation of Femtocells for Pure Cellular Fixed Mobile Convergence”, will be given at the Suntec Centre at 2:00pm on Tuesday 19th June, as part of the CommunicAsia 2007 Summit. The presentation will explore the merits of the four main current approaches – Iub/IP, Flat-SIP, Embedded GAN client and Standard-Iu – and consider the impact of the different implementation approaches on issues such as scalability, support for handover with the macro network, performance over residential grade broadband, security, and bandwidth utilisation.
Now in its 18th year, CommunicAsia is the region’s foremost ICT exhibition and conference, gathering together more than 67,000 industry professionals and decision makers from over 100 countries, and 13,000 executives from policy makers, regulators, carriers, ISPs and service providers. This strategic conference and exhibition will bring together leading players from the operator, analyst, network vendor, software/subsystem and value-added service communities to discuss the implementation, deployment, security, pricing, management and business opportunities for this groundbreaking technology.
